The Mission – Travel 11 Countries in 11 months with The World Race (A program through Adventures in Missions), ministering the hope of Jesus Christ as I go. We will join in-country partners and help with their ministry. This could include building relationships, planting churches, working in orphanages, and responding to natural disasters. During the trip I will also be trained and discipled in various areas of ministry and missions. The training camp is July 31st-August 9th, and the mission launches October 1st. The Missionary – My name is Mike Sanders, I am 21 years old, and ready to be sent! On December 30th, 2007 I promised God not another drop of alcohol and re-dedicated my life to Christ. Since then God has been radically transforming my life, empowering me to defeat the sinful tendencies I brought into a relationship with Him, and teaching me daily to become more like Jesus. “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” (Philippians 3:12). See below for my testimony, it’s an amazing one!
The Call for Prayer – The World Race is an amazing opportunity to impact the World with the gospel of Christ. I know I’m called to the October World Race. The challenge is, on account of my former life in sin, I’ve accumulated many debts. While I’ve been working faithfully to pay off these debts, the reality is, without a miracle from God I will not be free in time to fulfill this calling. Please pray that God brings swift deliverance.
